Dumpster Diving

We have been busy at BYP, plowing the snow from our parking lots, helping guests maintain their spas, and kicking off our February Sale! 

During the winter fun at BYP, I took a moment to reflect on the past season. 

Focusing on the good things in 2020, we celebrate the families who have trusted us to help them care for their pools over the years.  The summer also brought many new pools and new relationships and we are thrilled.  When we count our blessings, the list includes each and every one of you.

But there were some missed opportunities to help customers in 2020.  With shortages, shutdowns and increased demand, sadly, not everyone who wanted a pool was lucky enough to find one.

This is heartbreaking at BYP.

Desperate times called for desperate measures, and in spite of not being able to purchase a new pool, we met customers who found clever ways for their wills to swim.  These creative folks converted stock tanks, truck containers, even dumpsters into out of the box, backyard pools. 

You’re still stuck on dumpster, aren’t you!? 

That dumpster you are picturing in your head is a far cry from a very unique and beautiful reality.    

At BYP, inground pools are our specialty.  But just because we don’t sell dumpster pools doesn’t mean we don’t get excited about them and every backyard pool we come across! We embrace all pool families and celebrate each backyard paradise because we share a common love:  an escape from the stress of daily life, the joy that comes from having a place to share laughs and create memories, and a way to spend time with the people we love the most right outside our back doors.  We consider it a privilege to help you maintain your pools, hot tubs, dumpsters, stock tanks, the list goes on…. No matter what holds your water, we’re here to keep it healthy all summer long.

As a reminder of the light at the end of this cold and snowy tunnel, we’d love you to share pictures of your summer paradise, no matter what constitutes your swimmin’ hole.  Please post them in the responses for all of us to enjoy, find inspiration in, and let us be warmed by the happiness in the smiling faces of the families we have gotten to know and love, thanks to those pools.
