I Soak, Therefore I am

“Your spa will give you great ideas,” was not listed on the pro side to be weighed against cons in my spa purchase decision making. To be honest, if a salesperson had pitched that angle, I’d have run screaming, never bought a spa, and never made the fascinating discovery that I am about to share with you right now.
Luckily, there were enough realistic pros to tip the scale in favor of my spa purchase. And in the months that followed the addition of a big, beautiful hot tub to my otherwise boring back yard, I would come to find out, my spa gives me great ideas!
Or does it?
Allow me to soak on this.
My daily routine includes some time before bed to let the water, the bubbles, and the jets work their magic while I relax, process thoughts, emotions, and reflect on my day. That’s about the time my spa gently shares ideas on how I can do tomorrow just a little bit better.
Alright, alright. I know that sounds ridiculous. But in the time since I first dipped my toe into the magical waters of my new backyard think tank, I make a point to find time every day for relaxation and an opportunity to really hear myself think. I did not buy my spa to give me great ideas. I made this discovery only after using it. And I’m glad I did! I am much smarter….
Wait, did you just hear that?! Listen. My spa is trying to say something.
“I have an idea….”
With so many benefits to having a spa: the ones I knew I was buying from the beginning and the ones I stumbled upon since, could there possibly be even more I have yet to uncover?
I continued soaking.
Perhaps, if I go outside my ordinary routine, mix things up, try new things, I will discover even more benefits?
My spa gently interrupted my thoughts again,
